FMR team

All four FMR staff members work part-time, from two to four days a week.

Marion Couldrey, Co-editor
Marion has worked for Forced Migration Review and its predecessor since November 1993. After some years in marketing, she worked for Christian Aid as a fundraiser in the 1980s before working with Afghan refugees in Pakistan in the early 1990s. She has also worked in Chile with human rights organisations. Marion has a BA (Hons) in European Studies (French and Spanish) from Bath University.

Jenny Peebles, Co-editor

Jenny started working in June 2017 as co-editor of Forced Migration Review. Before joining Forced Migration Review she worked in varied editorial, project management and research communications roles with the International Migration Institute, Oxford University Press, Oxfam GB, Edinburgh University Press and the International Labour Organisation. She has also worked in arts administration. Jenny has an MA in Publishing from Oxford Brookes University and an MA (Hons) in History of Art and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh.

Maureen Schoenfeld, Promotion and Finance Assistant
Maureen has worked previously for the University of Oxford in the Department of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics, where she managed the Phonetics Lab.  Previously, she has worked in the legal and film industries.  Maureen is also a trained theatre actress and writer, and holds a BA in Psychology.

Sharon Ellis, Assistant
Sharon has been working with FMR since 1998, managing the websites and database. Previously Sharon worked in the Bursary of one of the Oxford colleges.

 

We also employ a part-time assistant, Laura Moreno, at the Instituto Interuniversitario de Desarrollo Social y Paz of the University of Alicante, Spain, with which we have a partnership agreement. She works on the Spanish edition, Revista Migraciones Forzadas. www.migracionesforzadas.org/contactos.htm
