Forced Migration Review is entirely dependent on grants in order to produce and distribute around 80,000 copies per annum. FMR receives only logistical support from the University of Oxford.

Expenditure for FMR's four language editions for the University of Oxford 2006-2007 financial year (1 August 2006 - 31 July 2007) was £283,892 / $US578,192 / €396,054.
