We are delighted to invite you to the online launch of our latest issue, FMR 75, on the theme of ‘Dangerous journeys: Saving lives and responding to missing migrants and refugees’.

Join us on Tuesday 3rd June at 15:00 Oxford / 10:00 New York / 16:00 Geneva / 17:00 Nairobi / 20:00 Dhaka.

This event will offer a brief introduction to the issue, followed by a dynamic discussion featuring some of the issue’s authors. We will delve into key topics, such as the growing constraints on search and rescue through criminalisation and ‘bureaucratisation’; how rescue operates in different locations – from the mountains to the desert; the role of high-level diplomacy and regional cooperation in preventing deaths and disappearances and on-the-ground approaches to identification; and the particular perils of new migration routes.

The event will be in English, with live interpretation into Arabic, French and Spanish on request.

Requesting interpretation: If you require interpretation, please email us at fmr@qeh.ox.ac.uk by Friday 23rd May at the latest, indicating your required language.

Registration: Registration is essential to attend. Please register here.
