Write for us

We welcome new knowledgeable authors, especially those with lived experience of forced displacement. Authors may write in English, Arabic, French, or Spanish. No prior experience writing for publication is required.

Our articles typically analyse the causes and impacts of displacement, debate policies and programmes, share research findings, reflect lived experience, or make recommendations for policy and action.

Our step-by-step guide below takes you through the stages you need to go through to have an article published in FMR.

Mentoring

We offer mentoring for authors with lived experience of forced displacement or whose voices are under-represented in decision making around forced displacement response. Mentoring involves the opportunity to discuss your ideas and get feedback on a draft of your article, before you submit it for review.

You can indicate your interest in being mentored when you submit a proposal.
