Return: voluntary, safe, dignified and durable?

The mini-feature on ‘Towards understanding and addressing the root causes of displacement’ has been prepared to inform discussions at the first Global Refugee Forum in December 2019. This collection of articles written by authors from the UN, NGOs and academia aims to enhance collective understanding of some of the root causes of displacement.

This issue of FMR will be available online and in print in English, Arabic and Spanish. The mini-feature will also be available as a standalone 24-page booklet in these three languages plus French.

Also available:

  • Editors’ briefing: provides headline analysis of the feature theme and mini-feature articles, with hyperlinks to articles – available online and in print in English and Arabic (A4 format)
  • Digest: presents a listing of all articles published in FMR 62, including article title, author(s) and affiliation, introductory sentences and links to the article online – available in English, Arabic and Spanish (A5 format)
  • Podcasts: the articles are available (in English) through University of Oxford’s Podcasts – link above.

If you are printing off the magazine, digest or mini-feature booklet, please note that they are published in A5 format (half of A4). In order to print them properly, please use your printer’s ‘Booklet’ setting. (The Editors’ briefing is A4 format.)

Please disseminate this issue as widely as possible by circulating to networks, posting links, mentioning it on Twitter and Facebook and adding it to resources lists. We encourage you to circulate or reproduce any articles in their entirety but please cite: Forced Migration Review issue 62 www.fmreview.org/return

Requesting copies: If you would like to receive a print copy of the magazine, Editors’ briefing, digest or mini-feature booklet, or if you require multiple copies for distribution to partners and policy/decisionmakers or for use at conferences/workshops, please contact the Editors at fmr@qeh.ox.ac.uk. We will need to know how many copies you require of which product and in which language, plus your full postal address.
