Cities and towns

This issue of FMR will be available online and in print in English and Arabic. (With apologies, we have been unable to secure sufficient funding to publish it in French and Spanish as well.)

Also available:

  • Editors’ briefing: provides headline analysis of the feature theme and mini-feature articles, with hyperlinks to articles – available online and in print in English (A4 format)
  • Digest: presents a listing of all articles published in FMR 63, including article title, author(s) and affiliation, introductory sentences and links to the article online – available in English and Arabic (A5 format)

Doing your own printing? If you are printing off the magazine or digest, please note that they are published in A5 format (half of A4). In order to print them properly, please use your printer’s ‘Booklet’ setting. (The Editors’ briefing is A4 format.)

Please disseminate this issue as widely as possible by circulating to networks, posting links, mentioning it on Twitter and Facebook and adding it to resources lists. We encourage you to circulate or reproduce any articles in their entirety but please cite: Forced Migration Review issue 63 www.fmreview.org/cities.

Requesting copies: If you would like to receive a print copy of the magazine, Editors’ briefing or digest, or if you require multiple copies for distribution to partners and policy/decisionmakers or for use at conferences/workshops, please contact the Editors at fmr@qeh.ox.ac.uk. We will need to know how many copies you require of which product and in which language, plus your full postal address. (We prefer to provide the digest or Editors’ briefing if large numbers are required for conferences and training, to save on print and postage costs.)

Please note: we encourage you wherever possible to disseminate FMR digitally, rather than in print.

We are particularly grateful to the following donors for their financial support for this issue: Cities of Refuge NWO VICI research project, Happold Foundation, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and Tufts University Refugees in Towns project.

Collaborate with FMR to boost your funding bid

FMR has been included on a number of occasions in successful programmatic and research funding bids (including to the European Research Council, European Union, Research Council of Norway and Wellcome Trust), to the mutual benefit of all parties.

Funders want to see how your findings and learning will be disseminated to the widest possible audience, including to policymakers. And they want evidence of impact. This is where FMR can help.

Consider including an issue of FMR or an FMR mini-feature in your proposal (and budget) to enhance the dissemination and impact of your project outcomes. We can provide tailored information and budgets, plus evidence of outreach and impact. To discuss options, contact the Editors at fmr@qeh.ox.ac.uk.
